Not a bad day

Today was another beautiful day. I went for a walk at lunch and took a different way. I had no idea when I turned down the road that it would intersect with one of the roads my workplace is on. Today I did a big circle. It was 1.28 miles, a little longer than I was going before. The other route is shady and this one is in the sun but I was OK with that. It took me 18 minutes to walk 1.28 miles, and that's waiting for traffic while crossing the streets. Not too shabby for a fat chic! I LOVE the app for my phone called "Map My Run". It's great!

I'm going to go over my calories today. I made pasta salad the other day and the darn noodles are high in calories. It was a side to my lunch, so it wasn't a big helping. My family doesn't like the whole wheat pastas. I'm OK with that. There's worse things I could've eaten than pasta I guess. Like the Italian Beef and fries they asked me if I wanted for lunch today. It sounded so good but I immediately said no. Oh, and the peanut butter I had with my apples will also put me over. Again, I won't complain because it was a healthier snack than picking up a candy bar. I won't go over my calories by too much.

We recently moved and now have stairs to go up. Every morning I go up them at least twice. Usually in the evening I go up twice. I hate stairs! In the first 40 minutes of being home, I went up the stairs 3 times. That has to count for something, right? emoticon

    That's awesome that you're making better food choices and not beating yourself up about not being perfect. emoticon You were moving pretty quick on that walk. Were you stopping for traffic or were they stopping for you? emoticon Don't worry you'll beat those stairs and find yourself purposely taking the stairs.

    LOl stairs....... lol we have 2 sets in our house and 5 to get into the house. I am on the waiting list for a new knee so there are days I don't like the stairs. but ... I have a fitbit and it tells me that today I have done39 inclines ( doesn't tell you when you go down) so been up those stairs and the hill in back of our house a few times too today.
I am not at my 10,000 steps yet but have another walk with the puppy, have gone just over 4 miles. so best stop reading blogs and get out and walk before dark.
Enjoy your stairs!! think how strong your calves will be!
