Some Progress

Tuesday, May 21, 2013

Well, some progress is better than none, right??

I got my booty out of bed this morning. The weather was NASTY out at 5am this morning. I decided to stay in and workout at home. I just did a quick workout...

10 push ups
20 sit ups
25 squats
20 lunges
80 jumping jacks
60 second wall sit

I did it 2 times through for a total of a whoppin 17 minutes!! Then I made a smoothie, did the dishes, and laid back down for an hour before getting ready for work. I really wish I had all of the equipment at home to do my FBB workouts, but I do not. So I think I will come up with several workouts that I can do at home to use as back up. Even if I do like today and get in 15-20 minutes of exercise then lay back down it's much better than skipping the workout and not getting my smoothie made and opting for a sugary coffee drink.

I really love my FBB workouts, I love that they are so challenging and I really feel the workouts the next day or two. I just wish the gym was more convenient with the new job. It's still 20 minutes each way to the gym. I could change gyms, but I know the gym I go to is the best in the area and it gives me nationwide access.

Anyhow... Today is a calorie counting day. I need to get serious here. And my newfound flub is making it much more urgent. Hopefully I can get back into the swing of things this week and make some progress again!!

Sounds like a great workout to me and it is giving you time for everything else you want/need to do. Something is always better than nothing and like some others said it may be just enough to light the fire to keep you going. emoticon

Nice job on getting something in at home. I have a couple of videos (one for circuit training and a couple of yoga) that I use as my backup plan in case I can't get myself out the door. Not my favorite, but at least it's something. I'm trying to track and stay in range as well - May sure has been a struggle in that regard! Keep pushing!

Great job! And I agree, progress is progress. Might just light a flame under your butt and get you going for the summer :)

I agree that a small workout is so much better than no workout at all! That being said, I still have to constantly remind myself of this simple fact. So, I don't have time to run 4 miles? Then running our loop and getting in a quick 1.75 miles is better than nothing at all! emoticon Btw I don't envy you on the gym commute. That is brutal! I only have to drive 10 minutes each way and that is a stretch for me. emoticon

Awesome! Sounds like the perfect way to start the day. Once we get one good day behind us it really starts feeling like it is possible!

Let's make it a progress week! emoticon emoticon
