Wow, it's been a while

I can't believe it's been nearly 3 years since my last blog post. When I left Sparkpeople, I was 218 pounds, down from 240. I completely got off track and went up to a whopping 265 pounds! I finally decided to get myself together and lost 43 pounds of all that weight I gained. I'm here today at 222 pounds and hoping to use spark people as a means to help me lose my last 87 pounds. I always loved how SP challenged me to get off my butt and move with all of the wonderful groups. I lost all of my 43 pounds simply through diet alone, and a lot of time but it's time to start moving and getting fit so I can complete those 5k's I was training for before I let food rule my life. I'm so glad to be back and to look around at the new spark people. It sure has changed since 3 years ago!

  Hey WARBOO! I, too, am on the comeback trail, and coincidentally have chosen what looks to be that same 5k in Corvallis for my return to running 5k. I've tried the couch to 5k and that jump to 8 minutes of running gets me every time. When I first start running (2003) I did the K. Switzer plan and that got me all the way to 50 mile ultra marathons, so that's where I'm starting again. I'll be starting on Sunday, May 26th at Minto (if you are interested, there are details in the 5k training post, I'd love some company!) In the meantime, long may you run ! emoticon
