Life can be hectic, but you can still make time for a quick workout!

Monday, May 20, 2013 has been 3 months since I have posted a blog here. It has been a crazy time in my life recently. In March I lost my beautiful Great Aunt Fern to a heart attack and a week later we lost my Grandfather-in-law to leukemia. It was a sad time for our family but we are lifting each other with prayer. During this time there was so much food to be had. Because of the amount of family gathered in this time of grieving, food was never an issue. I had to really watch my consumption and do some slight workouts whenever I could find time.

This last month I finished my last semester of my undergraduate studies at Eastern New Mexico University. Finals were hectic and consuming of all free time that I had after work. After finals came graduation and more FOOD! Family gathered to celebrate and eating became the past time while visiting and catching up with each other.

My husband and I are also trying to pack to move from our current residence. Anyone who has ever moved EVER knows that it is no easy feat. This will be my 11th move in my life time and being that I just turned 21, it doesn't seem like a small number at all. However, I have found that moving is a great workout. Lifting boxes, sweeping, moping, vacuuming, and washing windows can sure wear you out. I was so sore after packing my living room, and spare bedroom. Just walking back and forth across my house seemed like a good calorie burner.

My point is that no matter what you are doing, you can make it a workout. You may not see quick results but if you are doing it right and for a substantial amount of time you will definitely feel a burn. Keep moving SparkPeople. You can do it!
