Here it is day 2 for me at sparkpeople; my friend is going to be so happy when she learns that I have actually signed up, created a profile, and now attempting to blog. My friend has been here for quite some time now, maybe a couple of years, I'm just not sure; she has tried several times to encourage me to sign up but for whatever reason the timing just wasn't right for me. I will admit that I did start once before within the past year but the name I wanted to use was not accepted because it was too long for the system, so I just exited the sight and went on my way.
As for name/id: campnono has been with me for at least 25 years. I had accepted a job as a cook assistant at a girl scout camp, and I was required to come up with a name for myself; I decided on campnono because I was at camp working in the kitchen where all the no-no's were...think smores and hersey's candy bars, they don't store those in the nurse's station. Anyway, the name has always stuck with me, and I have thought many times if I ever had my own camp it would be called campnono.
As for goals...at the moment I know I am starting in a good place here at sparkpeople; I want to focus on my water intake, that being: drinking more of it. I have a formula written down in my notebook from I don't know where or when, but it says weight over 1 multiplied by 2/3 = daily intake. My amount comes to 220 ounces, (I weighed 330lbs at last doctor visit within the last 2 months) and my calculations put that at 27 1/2 cups of water a day. Whew! time for a drink.....
