Got out early for doggie walk

Monday, May 20, 2013

And make it up and down the mountain the 3.5 miles and felt great!!! Woo hoo...dancing here right now....happy dance.

Funny too how when you feel better that the little things that go wrong don't bother you as much. We lost power here the other day(happens a lot here for no of Mexico) anyway they are called brown outs and they are very disruptive to your appliances. One must have electrical regulators on just about everything to protect them. But our fridge isn't in a place where you can fit a protector on it so it gets the up and down surges. Anyway the surges this time wrecked havoc on the fridge and the freezer isn't working. I had to call Carmen who was going to deliver more yummy meals to hold off delivery until I get it fixed.
But feeling good makes it easier to deal with these little "Mexican" things.

I am doing something weird though now...I fall asleep fine with melatonin but then wake up around 4:30 am and can't get back to sleep. I have always had a sleep problem but this is a new one on me. The good news is that I fall asleep around 10:30 so at least I am getting 6 hours but would prefer more. Any tips? One of you recommended starting a game of naming things going through the alphabet and I did that at 4:30 doing girls names....I got through the alphabet and nothing. funny. but fun mind game. what's a girls name that begins with Q?

I also know that I am feeling better as I now am going to look into ordering a Fitbit for DH to bring home to me. Any suggestions.

I do hope you all have a wonderful day.

So glad you are feeling much better and even the upset with the freezer isn't distressing you! Getting 6 hours of solid sleep is still pretty good :) I wake up around 5am as it is getting light (we're further north), so I try and get to sleep by at least 10:30 to get some hours in.
My neighbour is called LaQuetta, not quite a Q name but almost..

You will love the FitBit Sallie!
I have been using mine since 2009 and, honestly, this device is on my person 24/7!
It also syncs with SP which is great as the Food Plan on the FitBit site is a wonderful tool!

When you are feeling good, you can ignore a lot of things, because it is so much easier to deal with them. Feeling bad, even breathing can become a terrific chore. Good news is you are feeling better and do the things you enjoy! emoticon Keep it up lady!!

sorry about the freezer but way to go three days of feeling good not great but good is a start and little annoyance's not bothering you is a plus. I am doing the perimenapuse thing over here .,I started waking up numerous times a night, I know this will happen is normal in fact. so I keep telling myself that . also I plan to write a book someday so I am going over the story lines in my head I don't get far though before I am sleeping again. lucky me sometimes I tell myself tonight I am sleeping like a vampire and I don't wake at all until morning. worse thing you can do is fret about not sleeping makes it worse good luck .

Girls names that start with Q . . . that's a puzzle. The girls names thread on the SP Games board likes Quinn, Queen, and Queenie. Quinn sounds like a boy to me, Queen sounds like a title, and Queenie sounds like a dog.

Google search turned up dozens of potential baby girl names starting with Q, most of which I'd never heard of. The only one that really sounded like a girl's name to me was Querida, supposedly from Spanish for dear or darling.

Glad you are feeling better. I know things do not bother you as much when you feel good as when feeling down. Just went through it. You might look on line at the fitbits and see which model you want. I saw them at Best Buy when I was in there but did not have time to stop and look at them.

D loves her FitBit One. It shows how many times she wakes during sleep. It tracks how many flights of stair you do (any elevation will register), and steps during the day. She's so hooked on it AND it syncs with SP! Good to see you out and walking, Sallie!

Ouch - sorry about the freezer but SO glad you still feel good!! I've been taking Valerian Root Extract after reading that long term use of Melatonin can suppress the natural production of Melatonin by your body. I read about Valerian Root in an article here on SP - if I can find it I'll give you a link.

Here it is (sorry don't know how to link here but you can cut and paste):

About the name, Queenie (remember in Gone with the Wind?) or Quita

Sallie, I have the fitbit one and I LOVE it. I've considered getting the flex, but I think I'm going to wait. It's brand new and I'd like to give them time to work any bugs out. Plus it doesn't track sleep exactly like the one.
Glad you're feeling better. RA isn't a pleasant disease. My mom had it.

Which part of Mexico are you in? I live in Sonora :) We don't lose light here at all except when there is a thunder storm or something bad, so that's a little weird.
