Last Sunday Shane told me he wanted a week of eating "normally". I told him fine but that means we go back to eating Primally hardcore (starting today thank the Gods!) I went and bought all kinds of crap that never sets foot in our home. Hot dogs, mac and cheese, pudding snacks, store bought bbq sauce, pasta and bread. There was also a whole lot of fast food. It was all kinds of bad. I tried to eat as little as possible because it's just not feasible to make two meals at every mealtime. The end result is my taste buds are warped, my BP is up, I've been fighting headaches all week and I have been swollen all week.
The good news is that it is all over. I think even Shane is ready to get back to it. Our normal diet is no longer the SAD (standard American diet) and I'm glad it's not. Shane and I both feel wrecked after last week. The girls don't feel as bad but it definitely affected them. We are so ready for veggies, fruits and healthily cooked meats! Bye bye grains, chemicals and overly processed packages of things that used to be food!
