Gardener's Glory

Monday, May 20, 2013

Wanna see my bug bites? For some reason, even with my gloves on, the stupid skeeters love to attack my hands, oh and my elbows. Ugh.

I got so much done this weekend. Two of my three garden boxes are planted; my herb garden is in; my tomato patch is done; my wild flower garden is planted; yard mowed; and 18 bags of mulch down. (I ran out.) I have learned that there are muscles that I didn't even know I had and every single one of them are screaming at me at this very moment. I will need to remember to get up and stretch today or I'll be really sorry later.

emoticon My irises are blooming!

emoticon A spring bouquet.

I'll try to remember to take pictures as things grow and change. I thought I had pictures of the garden boxes but didn't find them quickly enough to post for my blog. I'll take more soon.

Have a great Monday!

What beauty!! Next time you do some gardening soak in a hot tub with a cup of Epsom salts dissolved in it and it'll fix you right up!
Have a groovy weekend, lady.

Less than a week and some of the things I planted are up! I'm so excited! There's just something about seeing those little green shoots poking thru the dirt. Sigh.

Lovely! Those irises are gorgeous - we have yellow ones but have coveted the gorgeous purples all along. We finally found some bulbs at a rummage sale recently and now I can't hardly wait until they bloom next year!

emoticon You really did alot. I just managed to water the 4 or 5 sprigs of basil and the 2 sprigs of chive I planted outside. It took me 2 days to plant a leaf of thyme someone gave me and that was in a pot inside. You should give yourself a HUGE emoticon

OMG What beautiful flowers! I just came in from mowing my yard. My tulips and daylilies are up and blooming. It is supposed to rain for the next few days here in Michigan. I'm hoping for a nice hot Memorial Day weekend.
