Failure...

Monday, May 20, 2013

These past few weeks have been horrible! I have completely failed! I just can't seem to do this. I see how everyone else is progressing so nicely and I just can't seem to do this. I can't find time for myself let alone time to actually exercise! Working around the clock, college, taking care of my family is so exhausting and takes up all of my time anymore. I don't want to give up... I just don't think that I can do this...

I feel like such a failure!

Don't give up! You can do it! It's hard, but you have to stick with it. It's okay to do baby steps. If it's that hard to get exercise in, maybe change how you do your daily stuff, like whenever you walk from one place to another, walk faster than you usually do. Or take the stairs.

I'm not sure who your family consists of, but if you have a husband and/or kids who are old enough to cook dinner by themselves or whatever, let them fend for themselves every once in a while! Make exercise into me-time.

Whatever it is you're doing, put it down. It can wait. The world won't end. Force yourself to take a "day off" from all the little crap that piles up on you. It's difficult at first, but learning how to put yourself first really helps. Just think -- all these goals you have with college, work, and family can't be done unless you have the energy and health to do it in the first place. By investing in yourself, you invest in others.
