2nd turkey

Monday, May 20, 2013

made a much bigger mess than the first. figures this one was a 20lb and the 1st on was 10lbs. i tried one of those turkey bags but i missed the step that sad how many slits to cut so it can vent. i left to tn errands and my hubby was home and heard a strange noise. apparently the bag made its ownvent holes. the turkey was very juicy so now i have to clean out my stove. on the other had the meat was in the oven long enough so it was completly cooked.

it was a big mess, but i am learning how to do it so in the future so i dont have the same problems

Laughing sooooooooooo hard. thank you! Do you think getting your turkeys thru bowling might be safer? Glad it worked out, and just think of the workout cleaning it!

Lot's of good lean protein.

Have a beautiful day!

I made my first turkey this weekend. After 3 hours i remembered i was suppose to cover it with aluminum foil! So I pulled it out and covered it...when i put it back in the disposable container somehow obtained a hole. It kept leeking in the stove as i stood there panicking lol. I threw her in a cassorole and hoped for the best. It still turned out :)

LOL awesome! Learning to cook new things makes great memories! We still laugh about the first time I ever made a pumpkin pie. (Forgot to add the condensed milk and we ate the pie thinking- yuck). But, I did learn! And we have some great memories from all my botched attempts in the kitchen!
