Day 49 - Golfing, baseball, and one heck of a sun burn!

Sunday, May 19, 2013

Around mid-morning, my husband and I played our first of the season 18 holes of golf! I am fairly new, just started out about three years ago. I actually did my best score ever! It took us 3 hours to play in mid 80 degree weather.

Unfortunately, by the 12th hole, my Plantar Fasciitis flared up. After the 18th hole, I was noticeably limping. And I was starving!

We get home just in time to say bye to my oldest son who was on his way to his baseball game. (he is extremely sore from doing the Tough Mudder yesterday! He wants me to start training for it now and do it next year with him...LOL). I fed myself and got an ice pack for my heel. Aahhh, what a relief! Onto getting a shower...but didn't make it since the phone rang...

My son called and said that his team needed an extra player which meant that I needed to take my youngest son to the game ASAP. So, for the next 3.5 hours, back in the sun watching my sons play ball!

My daughter showed up but was very pi$$ed off at her cat. She decided to bring the cat to the game and stopped at a pet store to get a leash. Inside the store, her cat freaked out and attacked my daughter. She is scratched on her face, neck, and arms. It looks ugly bad! She also has her first day of clinicals tomorrow in Chicago. Well, after the game, she dropped off the cat and came over for dinner and to spend the night before heading off to Chicago very early in the morning.

My husband grilled again...steaks and Johnsonville hot sausages. Keeping within my limits will be challenging...but I figured for today with all that golfing, I had way enough calories to play with! and I finally got my much needed shower in! And then I saw the sunburn in the bathroom mirror...oh I think I will be hurting tomorrow...sigh.

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!
