My PLAN for BLC 22 is in place!

My running progress has been successful. I am on week 3 in my 10K training schedule, and I feel at ease with it. emoticon This is a relief for me. I so wanted to find just the right pace/distance to lightly challenge myself without injuring myself. I've chosen a SLOW emoticon routine, and I've embraced it. The 2 miles are easy now and I feel refreshed afterwards.
Isn't it a funny thing? ME - embracing SLOW? LOL!! emoticon
I must be "settling in" my old age...:::Bahahaha! emoticon ( I'll be 37 June 6th. ) No but really, I have discovered that I run because I love it.

I heard the first stirrings of the new BLC Round 22 approaching, and knew I needed to form a PLAN that would work with my 10K training.

Right now, I have a set schedule that has a rest day on Friday ( but then I wouldn't be contributing many FM to our weekend challenge ) ...:::and my shortest day is Tuesday ( but that would destroy my chance to contribute LCW minutes)...:::So here's my new PLAN!

Sunday:: emoticon 2 miles, short run
Monday:: emoticon emoticon Aerobics/dance/calisthenics
Tuesday:: emoticon 4 miles, Long run
Wednesday:: emoticon rest day
Thursday:: emoticon emoticon Circuit Training ...always at least 30 sets of pure iron.
Friday:: emoticon 2 miles, short run
Saturday:: emoticon emoticon More Circuit Training...:::Woo-woo!

That settles it....enabling me to give the MOST points possible for my Team, the Panthers while sticking to my training schedule. I'm satisfied with my schedule, and glad I have found the best way to contribute to my team.

emoticon Note: I haven't increased my long run yet......::but I will attempt to this week...:::going from 4 - 5 miles. No personal competitive expectations either. Just a desire to comfortably increase my distance. Hope I can do it!
You know what? I have found this "settling in" a good thing for me. It has given me a great sense of personal balance and stability.....::allowing me to make more progress.

    if you are getting old love what does that make me i was 48 this month and believe you me i am not old,lol.the new training schedule sounds good though and i know what you mean re working your fitness minutes etc roung the blc challenges.we can do this. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

    You crack me up... of COURSE you juggled it for LCW... LOL!! Not competitive or anything ;-) YES, embrace slow. Slow and steady beats fast and injured ANY day. And "slow" and "fast" are all relative anyway!

I turn 34 on June 3rd, so watch what you say about old age, I'm not far behind you!!
