And the Lord said....

Sunday, May 19, 2013

This week's meeting topic resonated with me a lot. In the bible it reads...

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

This week's meeting topic is on SETTING YOUR TABLE.

This past week mom and I did just that. We cleaned off the clutter from the dining room table
(There were plants on the table from when my grandmother passed on two years ago) and we put on a new table cloth and put out the good silverware.

Yes, I will admit wholeheartedly that we use...gasp...paper plates.

I know that there are people that would set out the good "company only" china and the good glassware, but, I figured that since it has been only the two of us at home since my step dad and also my grandmother both passed on, unless my aunt or my brother and sister in law and the girls come...why bother?.

I mean that just means more mess to clean up and more dishes to wash (although I am finding that strangely...I now LOVE house work...all but cleaning the bedrooms. I know weird, right?).

Anyway, also due to trying to save money and budget our money and also our time...we are no longer eating out of doors as often as we once were.

And if we do we either use coupons or go to Cracker Barrel with my employee discount or as was the case tonight...we use coupons and mother makes me pay for the meal.

But that does not happen too often. This week we have just been big time B-R-O-K-E as mom's social security money went toward the one hundred and forty dollar water bill and also the electric bill.

Also we are not paying it, but, we have a cellular phone bill from T-mobile for 652 dollars and some odd cents.

We neither one will get our social security check until the first part of June so that means living on 101.19 until next Thursday when I get paid from work.

I hate that feeling.
