Looks like the house deal is not going to go through. sigh
We went with our realtor to look at some houses again today. There is one that I like but Dan wasn’t interested. It is inside the Association which means we cannot afford to pay as much for the house. Catch 22. Gotta keep waiting for a house outside the Association in our price range. Not even sure we can qualify for a small loan.
I went to the sectional today. There is still so much I could improve and not much time to do it. I do not think I will be able to continue after the upcoming concert. My brain just does not work like it should. Too many short circuits..
Umm, I can’t remember Friday except Greg & I drove to Fresno. Oh, we went to his niece’s house for dinner and I spent the night there. Teagan gave me her bed (she’s four) so I need to find a thank you gift for her.
Fresno California Classic Weekend – did the century bike ride with Greg, his brother, brother-in-law and nephew-in-law. They did the work all day (thank goodness!) while I stayed in second or (mostly) third position.
At the penultimate rest stop, I felt like an old woman. When I was young, I thought the body would always heal itself. Wrong! This was the first time, I really did feel my age.
However, by the time we got to the end of the ride, I was feeling good again. In fact, Bryan (or was it Paul?), said, “Let Nikki pull us in.” And so I did. Greg said I was pulling at 21 mph. Hey, we were on the flats with clean, smooth roads, and four guys pushing… I had to give it my all!
We were fortunate to have a ‘cool’ day for the ride. I think the high was only 85 degrees.
I am feeling sore from the ride and from the shot I took this morning. I am also tired but I think another good night of sleep and I’ll be back to normal.
Talking to Dan today and he’s realizing our bike adventure will be here before you know it and he needs to get ready. So, the plan (for today) is to ride over to the gym Mon-Wed-Fri and do an easy workout and then go for a bike ride.
