Depression is an ugly thing. Fortunately, God has filled my life with beautiful people to help me in my struggle against it.

Today I went to church for the first time in months. It felt great to get out there. Karen (my therapist) is nudging me towards being more social. So I signed up for two summer groups while I was there. The first spends the semester knitting scarves for local cancer patients. Which I think will be a really great thing (even though I will be learning to knit, lol). The second is a discussion group of 20-30 somethings. I'm excited about the opportunity to socialize with people outside of the bar scene (which has dominated my social interactions for a long time).

As far as fitness goes, I've been doing well with my workouts despite my lack of Spark activity. My eating habits need an overhaul though. So getting back on to the site will hopefully assist me in that regard.

Overall, today was a great day. I was happy to be a pat of it. :)
