Did you know a Mesa is a fancy spanish word for plateau they use in California? I figure my plateau should be regionally-appropriate.
Anyway, I'm pretty stuck. I feel like I'm doing everything right--getting to the gym even more, walking extra, feeling pretty motivated to get out & do stuff. But the scale says NOPE! On top of that, I felt really fat yesterday.
I'm a pretty numbers-oriented person, so the scale not moving bothers me a good deal. It's been long enough that combined with the whole scale fiasco a couple weeks ago, it's getting harder to stay motivated.
BUT! I have 2 more weeks of the school year left, then we go on "summer break" which means... we have to work just as much if not more, but different stuff. Lots of interviewing new tutors & working with the newly hired baby tutors. They're my favorite, so I'm looking forward to it.
Then, in early June, bf's daughter is coming to visit. She usually drives me nuts because the way she's been raised doesn't exactly line up with my priorities, but as she's getting older, it's definitely becoming better. I'm thinking of spending a good bit of time teaching her some cooking basics. Her mom is a terrible cook and she seems to genuinely WANT to eat better, but doesn't have the knowledge to do it. It could be a fun adventure for us. It also means we'll be out-and-about more doing stuff. And I'll have a pool buddy!
The point is... sure, I might be plateaued, but things feel like they're going pretty well. I'm still having blah-don't-feel-like-doing-any
thing days, but instead of them being 5 out of 7 days a week, they're more like 1 day a week. I can deal with that.
OH! And, while I'm NOT the most athletic or coordinated person, I think bf and I are looking to join a local floor hockey team! It looks like a ton of fun and I really want to meet new people and have some place to be social. (That's one of the WORST parts of working at home!)
So this week: goals kind of met, results not what I'd like, but I've got a bright outlook dammit!
