5% Dawgs vs Cats - Blog #1: A '(re)Starter' Blog

As part of a mini challenge in the 5% Spring Into Summer Challenge, I need to blog...daily if I want my full points. And, I do. More importantly, I want to fully participate in each aspect of the challenge.
I feel full participation will be the key to renewing my energy and enthusiasm even while it will consume energy and time. Over the past four months, I have settled onto a plateau physically (actually gained 6 lbs) as well as mentally and emotionally.
Looking back, I realize I was very involved in my wellbeing plan with daily goal-setting and monitoring to reach my short term and long term goals. . .and I was making tremendous progress - I dropped 21 lbs in just six months!
Then, I allowed myself to be distracted, started to take mini breaks, monitoring only some things, etc. - and my enthusiasm slowly leaked away. One day, I logged in and just looked at the screen wondering why I was here. When I dressed later that same day, my clothes were a bit snugger, I felt less energized generally and less focused in all aspects of my day - so began my plateau.
So, I am re-dedicated to my wellbeing efforts - focusing my attention on the most important part of my life - and that requires full participation. . .even in those activities I don't enjoy and find difficult - such as blogging.
