I am not a natural blogger, but I wanted to complete this assignment so I'm treating it like an interview. If your reading it, thank you and I hope it helps motivate you to try the Spark Solution.
• What made you decide to try The Spark Solution Program?
I joined SparkPeople almost three years ago. I'm not sure what changed after the first year, but I stopped losing weight and recently regained all the weight I had lost. So trying a mapped out, specific program seemed like a good idea to get back on track. I had considered Spark Coaching in the past, but hadn't tried it so the offer of free coaching was also appealing (although I have still not tried it yet, not sure why).
• Have you seen or felt any results in this first week?
I hurt myself last November and have not worked out faithfully since, so this was also an opportunity to get back in the routine of working out everyday, which feels magnificent!!! I have thus far eaten more food than I usually do and lost over 2 lbs. and that feels fantastic!!! I'm not shedding tears of joy yet, but I'm almost ready to.
• What do you like the most about the program?
I am most excited that it seems to be working!!! I like that I can just follow the instructions and that those instructions put together both the food and activity parts for me, along with lots of thinking points. The book is laid out pretty well and easy to follow, which I appreciate.
• What was your favorite meal from this week?
I have enjoyed a couple of the breakfasts, the scramble on day one and the wrap on day three. My husband and I both enjoyed having the Baked Mac & Cheese last night... Just wish I was more fond of cooking! There have been a couple of days that I've had to adapt the plan to deal with all the leftovers, that was a bit of a surprise. This much variety is way beyond my normal eating habits!
• Which Insider Tip motivated you the most this week?
I'm pretty naturally motivated, so I'm not sure. Today's tip was something I used to do and had let slip, but will be starting again. Helping my plate in the kitchen instead of at the table would lessen the urge for seconds.
• What is your goal is for next week?
My goal for next week is to continue to stick as closely to the plan as I can and continue my weight loss! I would be delighted to weigh at least 5 lbs. less at the end of two weeks. That all by itself would be a huge motivation to continue to follow this plan into the future! Another extremely motivating factor (goal) is how much better I feel when I workout regularly! It's been important to me for years, but sometimes my focus slips... good to have it back!
