I also thank all the men and women who serve and have served in our military. My Dad was Marines and brother Navy. Where we live we are near an Air Force base and we have all the military services represented here. I love this community.

My hubby served in the Navy. That is his pic in uniform for my icon. Even though there was a draft at that time, he enlisted!! Thank you to all who serve or have served. And if you are vets from Korea or Nam, Welcome Home!! All of you are greatly appreciated.

Thanks for sharing this beautiful tribute to all these brave men and women who serve their country proudly. I am from Canada and have had several members of my family serve in World War 1 and World War 2, my Dad is still living at aged 90 and served in the Air Force throughout the 2nd World War...He served his country proudly...Both of my Grandfathers served in World War 1 and served in the Army for all of their service. I have my grandfather's Bible that was given him when he entered the service with parents permission at aged 17 and his pin he wore proudly on his lapel of his uniform jacket. I salute all the Men and Women who serve their country proudly...My prayers are with them and their families... emoticon emoticon

My son is a 1st Lt. in the Army and is half way through a 9 month deployment to Afghanistan. My daughter and her new husband are graduating college next week and commissioning into the AF next month. She is in the medical services corp and he is in the fighter pilot training. I have so many friends and family that have served, are serving and plan to serve. These ARE the future leaders of America. Pray they remain safe and always honor them for their service to America and the world.

My husband is retired Navy. We appreciate all the young men and women of all the Armed Services. We have seen a lot of the service men and women at Walter Reed.
Even though they have life changing disablities, they have such a wonderful outlook on life. May God keep on blessing them! Thank you for posting this!

I send my thanks and recognition, and on behalf of my son accept the recognition afforded. I cannot say how proud I am of his CHOICE to serve, or how grateful I am that there ARE those who so choose! Without them, we would not have the nation that we do. emoticon

The service that those in the armed services and their families make is the invaluable. Without them, our country would not have the freedoms that it has or be as great as it is! Thank you to all those that serve, have served and their families!
