Congratulations It's A Girl!

I would like to introduce you to Coco. She is my new baby.
Coco is a cocapoo and a puppy mill rescue. She has had a pretty crappy life. She is nine years old and was going to be euthanized because she was no longer useful. She is shy, socialized more to animals than people and really wants nothing more than to be held and cuddled.
This journey has been a long one for me. I live in my dream home where everything is quiet, orderly and peaceful. I have a touch of the OCD (I can hear my kid laughing from here) and dislike mess and chaos. I could not cope with a puppy- even though they are WONDERFUL.
I have always known I would get another pet. I have had Carin terriers most of my adult life but they bark a great deal and are very high energy. I am at a stage in life where quiet is good and barking- not so much. I wanted to share my wonderful life with a deserving girl who could enjoy her golden years in quiet and comfort.
I now have a walking buddy and some company. I feel it's part of my holistic master plan to have an enriching, happy, balanced life. I want to do some good in the world and in a small way this counts.
Spark on, sparkfriends. I'll keep you posted.
The kids are coming by later- I'll get my stairwell workout in then. LOL
You didn't think I was going to forget, did you????
Update: We made in home in the pouring rain. She is getting used to the sounds of the city and the elevators. We went for a walk and she got the hang of it and started to relax after an half and hour or so. Now she's tuckered and enjoying new new bed.
She really is a sweetheart.
