Cheeseburger SparkStreak(224.0)

Friday, May 17, 2013

So far the worst thing about divorce is that nobody has taken me to see Iron Man 3.

A close second is I reentered the choppy seas of Facebook. I just do not know how to feel about it. Somehow I never feel as if I am using social media as God intended.

People always say that when they crave cheeseburgers then their bodies must need protein. Mine just wants cheese, please. In fact, I just consumed four corn tortillas and two slices of Trader Joe's yogurt cheese with a little hot sauce. I should have just ate the cheese. I may be up three pounds from my low of 221.2 because of about four cheeseburgers in the last two weeks. I just discovered In and Out and now I am on a tear.

I am working in an office as a temp and discovering my office clothes are too big for me. I have some black pants I bought back in September (20W) that I thought would fit and I could not button. Now they are falling off. I never had that experience before. I am pleased but I need new clothes and as a new divorcee I do not have the funds.

Just to keep it in a cheese vein, I will get a cheesy anthem from the 80s stuck in your head:

Wheel in the Sky Keep on Sparking!

Yes, Goodwill is the place to go. I went there for clothes a lot while I was losing ... and I was buying smaller ones and giving the big ones to them. If you haven't been to one in a while, check it out, they're all "modernized" now.

emoticon I agree with that the thrift store is the way to go when shopping for interim sizes. I like Goodwill. O can give away and purchase inexpensive things some with tags still on them. I am not paying full price and I am giving to a good cause. Good luck fighting the cravings.

May I suggest the thrift store? I've found some nice stuff there on the cheap... (where I found my "interim" size 16 designer jeans for $20; they're starting to get baggy so I'm gonna visit there again for some 14's) My goal size is what I wore when I was (1st) married - a 12. Although it seems in the past 28 yrs, sizes have "expanded" so to speak; when I was a skinny teenager I wore a FEW things in size 7, but mostly 9's.
It'll be great to get into that bigger fashion selection again !
