Chocolate Peanut Butter Filled Cupcakes w/ Peanut Butter Icing - Most Requested

**Warning!! ** This is, in no way, shape or form a healthy recipe.
For my co-workers birthday, I give them the choice of cake. I will make or buy whatever cake they want. This is the most requested. Remember... a healthy lifestyle is all about moderation!
1 chocolate cake mix of your choice prepared according to package directions
*peanut butter filling *
2 tablespoons of butter softened
1/2 cup of peanut butter
2/3 cup of confectionery sugar
Place in a bowl, and blend together using a mixer. Once ingredients are combined, form 24 balls and place on wax paper
*peanut butter frosting*
1 cup of milk
5 tablespoons of flour
- place milk in a sauce pan on medium heat and slowly add flour. Stir constantly until a thick paste forms. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
1 cup of granulated white sugar
1/2 cup of crisco
2/3 cup of peanut butter
combine sugar, crisco and peanut butter. Beat together. Once mixed slowly add the flour paste. Continue to beat on high. It is at this point I usually add more peanut butter. I just keep adding globs of it until I think it tastes right. It is a matter of preference.
**preheat oven to 350**
Line a muffin tin with liners. Equally divide the cake batter among 24 muffin cups. Place one of the peanut butter balls into the middle of the cup and bake for 20 mins. Allow cupcakes to cool and add liberal amounts of frosting.
My mom and I figured out the calories one time, and it was over 400 for one cupcake!
The Birthday Girl/Boy gets the left over frosting and 2 unfrosted cupcakes. This way they can add frosting with each bite.
