...this is what I did...and I am very sore!
Yesterday, my husband played hooky from school. He is a teacher... We headed out mid-morning after my 3 mile walk and purchased over 100 small plants and several large plants for our gardens! We also picked up several bags of peat moss.
For over 2 hours, he dug up the holes and I planted the variety of flowers.
This is from our small garden.

A pretty plant on our backyard deck
The photos are not the greatest since it came from my cheap phone...
My son came home from school and he helped my husband lay down the peat moss while I took my shower and went to work for two hours.
Oh, I think my husband is becoming suspicious of me being on this diet...he came home with 4 chocolate chip cookies he claimed came from an employee luncheon he went to the day before. I polished off two cookies when my son came upstairs and saw the other two cookies on my knee. He grabbed the remaining cookies and ate them up! Whew!
Also, after I came home from my two hours of work, my husband grilled 4 burgers...two for him, one for me and one for my son. He always eats two burgers, but this time he INSISTED that I eat half of his 2nd burger. He was very, very insistent! My son volunteered to eat half of that burger! Whew again!
After dinner, we went for a nice, mile long walk!
Today, I was not able to go for my walk since my son had a dental appointment (no cavities!!!) and a dermatology appointment for his acne and also for the doctor to look at a growth on the top of his foot. The doctor ended up removing the growth and will be having it sent out to a lab in Texas. My son got a prescription (gel cream) to apply on his face twice daily. Hopefully this will work!
In between appointments, we went to Duncan Donuts and he got himself a doughnut and cold coffee (yay me - I did not get anything!) Then we went to his work to look at his work schedule.
After the second appointment, we got his meds, went to another store and got special soap and facial sunblock, then picked up my other son and his girlfriend and went to Subway (buy one get one free coupons). After that we went grocery shopping at the Mexican grocery store that has an amazing produce section! Spent a lot of money there! As we were leaving, there was a small stand where a Mexican lady was selling churros and corn in a cup with mayonnaise and spices. I got the churro... they got the corn in the cup.
I work tonight, so I won't have dinner issues with my husband. I plan on making myself a salad to take to work. I still have about 200 calories to play with before going over.
