I've been under water for days. Too many days on court means that I fall behind in my paperwork and get a mite overwhelmed.

I can't believe that I did this, as I don't do this: I grabbed a doughnut at 10 this morning because I hadn't eaten enough breakfast before court and knew that lunch wouldn't be a reality because I have to go back to court at 12:30. I'll NEVER do that again. I don't even much like doughnuts, but the staff had brought in a bunch and it was easy.

The blood sugar spike made me absolutely shaky. As in, I could barely concentrate for a while.

Ok. I don't need THAT lesson repeated!

Have a great weekend. I'm going to try to get home and grab something protein-y before court.

And after I had stopped eating them for awhile I realized, when I did cave and grab one, they don't even taste that good anymore...or at least not as good as I remember them tasting.

Oh, what a terrible lesson. Blood sugar spikes are painful and scary and seem to drain one of energy and brain power. It's better to carry a protein bar; even though they are not particularly wholesome, the protein & fat won't let the glucose get absorbed so quickly.

Take care of yourself!

Saturday at work my boss came by with emoticon and bagels, two 'foods' I stopped eating years ago. We stayed at work so late I actually contemplated taking a bite of a emoticon I realized home was 20 mins away and that bite would come back to bite me!
