I think I left my brain at home today...

emoticon or somewhere. I left my phone at home, I went to buy a fast food lunch and left my wallet at the office... Squirrel! emoticon

Very distractable today. My favorite mp3 player bricked yesterday, so I held my nose and got an iPod classic, which, my daughter assures me, is only cuddling with the dark side. I have almost ritually avoided purchasing Apple products for myself... their business practices turn me off, also the whole "cooler than though" mystique. But I am already happy with my purchase, having transferred the music from my mp3 player to it already from my back ups. I also have decided it's named Elizabeth, dunno why... I have a weird habit of naming my stuff... my car is Maxine, my TM is Betsy, my cat is Monty. I have ordered a cool "skin" for it and a clear snap on case and arm case for it. I will have her with me in my run next week.

Speaking of the Go Girl Run next week, the temperature forecast seems to be stabilizing in the low to mid 70's and intellicast assures me that there will be no snow. Although the way things have gone for me this year, I am still expecting 20 degrees and a blizzard that blows in from the Arctic. emoticon I am also planning my outfit very carefully... US Army Hat, Boston Memorial Shirt, MIZZOU shorts, I really just need some crazy funky socks to complete my "look", I'm thinking pirate stripes or something along those lines.

I am also still not quite ready to run a road race in my minimal shoes, but I am slowly training into them and getting more used to them. I think I will need to buy a new pair of traditional running shoes pretty soon though, since my old Asics are starting to wear down.

We all have those days. Whenever I have a day like that it makes me break out in song - LOL. The song is from the movie "50 first dates" where Adam Sandler sings to Drew Barrymore "forgetful Lucy". If you haven't seen this movie, it is a love story about a girl who relives the same day over and over because of an accident she loses her memory every night after she sleeps. Adam Sandler is a ladies man who likes to love em and leave em until he meets her. It is funny and cute and moving.
Anyway, sometimes you just can't help being forgetful....but at least you don't lose your memory every night.

I think our brains are having a drink somewhere together in Ohio. emoticon I am so out of it today too.

"Snuggling with the dark side" - I hear that, but I wound up sleeping with it once we switched over to the iPhone...and now the damn thing is attached to me, much to my chagrin. emoticon I have been pimped out to the dark side. emoticon
