I DID it!!!

Happy Friday, everyone!

Today is the end of week 1 of the 5% challenge. I have to say it has been a GREAT week. First of all, I lost 3 pounds. Wait, let me say it again...


OK, last Saturday's official weigh-in was high, and I knew some of it was water, but I am now at my lowest weight this year. And that makes me happy.

I also had the debacle with the step mill... but today, I decided I was going to do 5 minutes on it. And I did. OK, I did only 39 steps per minute, which is pretty darn slow, but I DID it! I felt so proud of myself!

And last, I had decided that I was going to do a minimum of 270 fitness minutes this week, and I have finished with 354 minutes. I am SO pleased with my week!

Challenges ahead - we are going out to dinner and the theatre tonight, and on Sunday, dinner and PAUL MCCARTNEY concert. I am going to really try to eat well both nights. Of course I will burn off a few extra calories at the concert.. but I might be a little to old to scream and try to rush the stage... Or maybe not. This is a major bucket list item for me, and I have waited more than 48 years for this day. I'll let you know if I behave live a respectable mature adult, or a crazy teenager... Stay tuned!

I am all about the FUN and loven every minute of it so do some screaming for me at the concert !

    I started the challenge a few pounds heavier - I was sick and drinking SOOOOOO MUCH water! I must have been hiding it somewhere. Haven't weighed myself yet - will do so tomorrow - but I believe I have lost some!

    Great big CONGRATS to you. Three pounds is major! Keep up the fantastic job you are doing. Do whatever makes you happy at the concert,have fun fulfilling your bucket list item.
Too many of us never come close to checking items of such a list.

    Woo hoo, congrats and enjoy. There are lots of great tips to help keep your food in check while out so check them out. Also if you know where you are going to be eating look their menu up ahead of time and predecide you so stay in range.
