Happy Friday, everyone!
Today is the end of week 1 of the 5% challenge. I have to say it has been a GREAT week. First of all, I lost 3 pounds. Wait, let me say it again...
I LOST 3 POUNDS THIS WEEK!!!
OK, last Saturday's official weigh-in was high, and I knew some of it was water, but I am now at my lowest weight this year. And that makes me happy.
I also had the debacle with the step mill... but today, I decided I was going to do 5 minutes on it. And I did. OK, I did only 39 steps per minute, which is pretty darn slow, but I DID it! I felt so proud of myself!
And last, I had decided that I was going to do a minimum of 270 fitness minutes this week, and I have finished with 354 minutes. I am SO pleased with my week!
Challenges ahead - we are going out to dinner and the theatre tonight, and on Sunday, dinner and PAUL MCCARTNEY concert. I am going to really try to eat well both nights. Of course I will burn off a few extra calories at the concert.. but I might be a little to old to scream and try to rush the stage... Or maybe not. This is a major bucket list item for me, and I have waited more than 48 years for this day. I'll let you know if I behave live a respectable mature adult, or a crazy teenager... Stay tuned!
