Weight Watchers And Me

My scale broke last month and that made me very sad as I was use to weighing myself at least once a week. So on Wednesday May first I joined Weight Watchers I paid for one month. I had been a member before and had liked the eating program but did not like paying for meetings. This time the first week there I did not learn any thing I had not already learned on Spark People. I was feeling a little bummed out and like a child I acted out by not tracking what I was eating every day. When I got on the scale the next week I was up .4 pounds. Not much but really a lot if you think about what it cost me to go to meetings and I was not doing what would help me lose weight.

After having a little talk with myself I got with the program and started tracking what I was eating and making better choices on what I was going to eat. On the Weight Watchers program you can eat all the fruit and vegetable you want. So I went to the farmers market and loaded up on fruits and vegetables. I bought some celery and salsa that was so good. I bought some cherries that were great to munch on when I wanted a snack. And for my salt fix I went to the supermarket and bought some seaweed snack which I love. At the 99 cent store I found some Weight Watchers cookies that were so good and filling, I could only eat two at a time.

I was tracking every thing I ate and staying in the range for the day. I started back using my weights 3 times a week and was doing walking or riding my exercise bike most every day. I was doing what I needed to start to lose weight again, exercising and eating right.

The weight watchers program says that if you follow program you will lose from .5 to 2 pounds a week. Well this sounded great to me. I wanted to lose at least .5 a week after all I am a turtle and we like to take things nice and slow. My second time on the scale I was so happy I had loss .6 pounds. Not bad for someone who ate her fill in fruits and vegetable. Well lets not forget that chicken stir fry, that great sushi, breakfast burritos, oh and that lasagna. Oh my I did enjoy staying on program with Weight Watchers.
