Drat you SP. This post should have gone up yesterday, but you went down for a REALLY long time. So, on with the show.
So many things going through my head yesterday.
Woke up to a gray, gray morning. Around these parts (Southern California) gray doesn't happen often, except during June. Well, it used to be June, it seems our weather pattern has shifted and now it happens in May. We used to call it June Gloom. You wake up in the morning to fog, slight drizzle (not enough that you really notice, except that every so often you do have to run the wipers to clear the spots away) and gray skies. This almost always burns off by mid-morning leaving us with crystal clear skies and plenty of warmth so we don't have to call off our swim or a trip to the beach. June Gloom is usually my friend. I really shouldn't live where I do considering how much the heat and I do not get along-lol. Now we call it May Gray, because now it comes in May instead of June.
Generally, I LOVE this weather. I don't like working out in it though. My hair curls like crazy and grabs onto every moisture particle so I come home with a wet head. Then sweating in this weather is useless. The sweat doesn't do anything. It stays on my skin and makes me feel gross.
I REALLY wanted to stay in bed yesterday. I didn't. So I count it as a WIN. :)
I did haul myself out the door and did 3.1 miles (plus a tad after cool down) and then did some strength work and had a good day.
The gray burned off just like it is supposed to and I had a nice, but busy rest of the day :).
I felt better because I did what I was supposed to and the sticky feeling from working out in humidity washed off in the shower :).
There isn't much that can stop you when you are doing what you are supposed to do. Unless the web site goes down. Then you are up a creek without a paddle-lol.
