My former DIL, Michelle, has finished her chemo treatments as of this week, and
her double mastectomy is scheduled for the end of June, I guess depending on her
health issues.
Would like to ask all of you to pray for Michelle...she has been plagued by health
problems all her life.

For whatever reason, this week has been difficult for me, the sisterinlaw causing
problems, the motherinlaw demanding things, then when we get there we are
treated like pariahs...
I am going out to lunch with my friend Candy today, and I pray I am uplifted before
time to go...
I try hard not to let "things" get me down and uplift others, and I have come to realize
there are a lot of things I will never understand, so may as well let it go.

I have been trying to encourage David to cut ties here, and move someplace more
peaceful.........he is like most men I have ever known tho, (except my Daddy and my
son) plant those feet and park....maybe it is because he was in the military for 21 years
and has been everwhere several times, but we just went for a ride yesterday and it
was great just getting out of town.

Sorry, did not mean for this to turn into a blog about things going on....

Hugs to all, thank you for all the praying for the ailing friends.

I love how a good long ride on my bike can cheer me up and improve my mood! Last year when my husband was going through chemo I was just about to go crazy and just had to get out of the house for a while. I hopped on my bike and just rode . . . for almost 3 hours. It was exactly what I needed to clear my head and lift my spirits!

I sense that the emotional currents around everyone in this situation must be swirling ... I will pray for peace and direction for you. It's hard to wait for things to happen in our lives and trust that it is all for the good but that's where our faith has to carry us til we find the solid ground we're seeking. Wishing you sunshine in your soul and peace in your thoughts ... hugs, E

Praying for Michelle as well as the problems in your family. I pray that God touches Michelle with His healing hand and drives that disease far away from her body. I pray that the strife in your family is settled and resolved and that God floods your heart with peace. May you find your rest in Him, Darlene!

God bless!

I will keep her in my prayers. Sometimes you just have to cut ties with family. I've done that and feel so much better without all that drama. emoticon

    I'll keep praying for Michelle.

Men. Change. These 2 words don't work well in a sentence, much less in life. emoticon

Claim Romans 8:28 and think of it whenever MIL and SIL are being problem children.

I hope you had a great lunch with your friend.

Hey Girl! Will definitely keep Michelle in my thoughts & prayers. I am so sorry to hear about the SIL & MIL problems. I would want to move to. Larry is just like David about moving (even though he too is from Calif). I hope you enjoy your lunch with your friend & know that I am always here for you!

I've been on a Spark break for a while and am looking around to see how everyone is doing. Sorry to hear about all the things that are going on with your family, Darlene. I will pray for your D-I-L and you and all of your family. Glad that you have a good friend in real time to be there for you. Friendship really does help. Hang in there! emoticon
