Truths from my 5 year old

Friday, May 17, 2013

I was working out in the living room yesterday while my kids were playing in their rooms. My 5yo son walks in, sees me doing a plank (on me knees!), and asks, "Are you exercising?"
me: "Yup
him: "Good, you need to!" emoticon I just got schooled by my 5yo! Of course he's right, and I need to get over this crazy tiredness and get my butt in gear!

About 2 hours later, he asks for my free weights, because he "needs to exercise. Mom, just tell me where they are!"

Yesterday, he also told me that my belly's getting bigger. "Momma, you're belly getting bigger already!" emoticon

Well, yea. It is. I'm only 6.5 weeks pregnant, and already don't like any clothing with a button and fly. My jeans and capris are tight, as in I cannot button them. I know it's not my weight though. I bought a pair of capris not too long ago and they were kinda tight then. I am 2.5 lbs lighter than when I bought them and I can't wear them anymore. I've gained .4 lbs in the last 6 weeks. But I don't wanna wear "regular clothes" anymore.

This is my 3rd pregnancy, so I know I'm gonna get bigger faster, but this is kinda ridiculous!

Yesterday was just full of great comments from Z. When asked about how the baby grows, what it looks like, ect, I showed my kiddos pix and videos and explain as best I can. Basically, it takes a long time for the baby to even look like a baby, that it has to grow in my belly until after Christmas (my due date is Jan. 6th).

Yesterday afternoon, we had this conversation;
"Is the baby's heart beating yet?"
"Um. I don't know."
"Ug! Well, you're SUPPOSED to KNOW! You ARE GROWING THE THING!" emoticon

I have my first ultrasound next week, and both the kids wanna go. If I remember correctly, the early ultrasound is done with a wand stuck up my hoo-ha, so I had to tell them no. When we go in August to check the baby again (and possibly see what gender Bean is, but I kinda want it to be a surprise since we found out with both the others, and we have both a boy and a girl), I will definitely let the little boogers go.

    LOL! I'm growing tomatoes too but that doesn't mean I know how it happens! Too funny!

I'm glad you are recognizing that the clothing is a Life thing not a Weight thing. Course you've done this before, you're a pro! (Doesn't mean we have to like that part though, eh?)

Keep up the good work both growin' that babe and staying fit!
