WE CAN GET THINGS DONE
If we are struggling, feeling frazzled and doing nothing but spinning are wheels, it is possibly because we are not focused. When we allow too many distractions or we put things first in our lives that are not getting us anywhere, then we need to refocus so we can get things done. It is possible. Prioritizing what is important in life will help us to know if what we are doing or who we are hanging out with is actually in line with what God wants us to do.
Hebrews 12:1 “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.” (NLT)
Dear Lord, we know we go through every day doing just about the same things. Some of us are getting somewhere and some of us are getting nowhere. Help us today to know what things we need to change in our lives so we can get things done. We want to do Your will and we want to stay focused on You. Keep us from the distractions of the world and even the distractions that we create ourselves so we can focus on You and do Your will. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
When we realize what is holding us back, we can move forward.
We can stay busy all day long but not get anything done.
We can get things done when we put our focus on God all through the day.
Even when we mess up, we can turn away from what we did wrong and begin again.
When we are tired, when we are weary, God will help us get a new grip and keep going so we can continue to obey Him and serve others.
Hebrews 12:12-13 “So take a new grip with your tired hands and strengthen your weak knees. Mark out a straight path for your feet so that those who are weak and lame will not fall but become strong.” (NLT)
