Learning to Crawl*

* Thank you, The Pretenders.

As long as the cats don't learn to operate the car, I'm fine.

I noticed over the past few months that I've been weak over Dairy Queen. It's been nothing to me to jump into the car and go through the drive thru for a Blizzard (large, of course).

This week if I want a DQ Blizzard, I hold my car keys out to the cats and tell them to go get me Dairy Queen. Cats being cats, they look at me like I'm just visiting this planet.

I plan to keep offering them the keys until they accept and then come up with a new plan.

So instead of a chocolate Blizzard, I've been consciously trading in the Blizzard for Dannon's Oikos Greek Yogurt. The raspberry is particularly smooth and creamy, and very, very satisfying.

I've also been microwaving breakfast to grab n'go, and bringing my lunch and snacks to work. I line up four bottles of water (at 16.9 oz each) on my desk for the day. That will be one bottle every two hours.

    I have seen cats do that...on one of the You Tubes, I think! ;-) Think what they could do if they only had fingers and thumbs!

    Very funny! I tell my german shepherd, Bach, that as soon as he learns to clean up and do the dishes, I will set his own place for him at the table and he can eat with us. For years, he just continues to drool by the side of the table. I think he's catching on, though. A few days ago I caught him licking the plates clean as I put them in the dishwasher. Careful...before you know it one cat will have the steering wheel while the other pushes the gas pedal...
