I went to 4 stores today looking for little star stickers - you know the kind you get in gradeschool for good work or put on a tracking board for achieving goals? I finally found them at this little strip mall store for teachers. Guess they aren't that popular for the layman? LOL
Anyway, I got them to put on my calendar. I was organizing a new day planner to include various things I need to do each week and I thought, hey! I need to track my daily activities somewhere I'll look everyday too. Here's the plan:
Every day I get a glittery star for the following activities:
Gold - cardio
Green - yoga
Blue - meditation
Red - muscle structure
Purple - no sugar
I thought, it works to keep kids on track at school and it's a cheap little reward each day when I do these things, that are supposed to be non-negotiable! Also, if I do all 5, I get a smiley face sticker too. So far:
As you can see, I find the yoga and meditation to be easy to fit in - my shoes gave me blisters so the cardio kind of failed. Not that it's a good excuse, but I feel like I have a start. It's super fun to put a new star on my calendar and I'm excited for that first gold star.
**Can anyone suggest some really good padded shoes for cardio - especially in the ball of the foot area?
I know that all these things can be tracked here on SP too, but having it on my bulletin board just makes it more...special
Do you do anything like this to keep motivated?
