I'm Baaaaaaack!!

Wednesday, May 15, 2013

I've not been good about keeping up here on Sparkpeople but I'm a stubborn person and even tho' I keep getting knocked down as long as I can keep getting back up again I figure I've still got a chance.
My diet has been pretty good. (Probably because it's about the only thing I've felt I can actually control for months and months.) In an effort to up the fiber in my diet I've been taking advantage of avocado. Recently I've discovered that mashed up avocado makes a delicious spread for my whole wheat bagel. I wasn't too sure I'd like it but in fact I think it's better than cream cheese as a spread. And I rocked that fiber for breakfast this morning - 13 grams!
But I've really slacked on the exercise. Not that I haven't had spectacular excuses for not -exercising. Currently I'm in week 5 recovering from a hysterectomy but next week I hit the pool twice a week for ai chi classes. My morning walking will also start back up again, too; working my way back up to 2 miles an hour. If I can do more than that I'll be ecstatic but I'll be pretty pleased with myself if I can get back to 2 miles.

Heh, heh! Glad to see you back hope you're feeling better soon. I can relate about keeping up with SP beyond a spin of the wheel each day, but stubborn is good and some movement is better than none. hugs all round. emoticon emoticon
