Wow, it's funny now that the last 2 months I've been just relaxing in maintenance mode (and by that I mean not obsessing, but certainly still working out a lot and eating even better)...and look what happens?! I'm happier, less stressed, I'm still the same weight- 113.5 (see, the obsessing wasn't helping, and I didn't gain anything back by relaxing a bit)....AND, I lost a few inches, in all the RIGHT places! Woo-hoo.
I measure myself once about every 8-12 weeks- and this time, I lost an inch in my lower belly, my hips and nearly an inch in my thighs as well. SO happy, as those are my "trouble zones"- meaning, I'm a pear shape, so that is the hardest spot to slim down. Obviously, it's been about 3 years, a lot of work, but I love every day looking in the mirror now and getting a happy surprise that I look so slim and trim and fit. I focus on the positive, I'll never be perfect, but the hard work always pays off. :)
End of April and early May has been quiet, just been busy, still been eating well and working out. Someone commented on my last blog about how prior to getting healthy you may look for reasons NOT to workout, but now it's about finding time TO work out. That is me to a "T". Only an extra half hour in the morning, that's ok, I can squeeze it in! Gotta get up early and get it done, I can do that! Where ever I can, I do it and fit it in.
