This journey with weight loss and Type 2 Diabetes has made me think of the term "keep on truckin". Learning to deal with Diabetes has made me change so much of my life. Not just my diet but habits. I have had to do some motivational re-vamping and pantry cleaning. I have learned that it is not just about loosing weight but improving my overall health. Loosing the weight is just the added bonus to all of this and since going on insulin that has been a huge battle.
As a Diabetic I have to have labs and doctor visits a few times a year. I have gone from having an A1C in January of 8.9 to 6.7 today along with lower blood pressure and cholesterol :) "What's different?" my doctor asked me. Well I have really tried to revamp my habits. I have really gotten into Spark People. I try and log in several times a week if not a day. I have been trying to poke around the message boards and blogs to get inspired by others. I found that the eating plan really works. I am not perfect with it. I substitute and I have my cheats but I have really tried to have that as my go to every day. Exercise is my new habit. One I hope to never break. I have had set backs and roadblocks and victories but thru it all I just have to "keep on truckin".
