After much pondering, I have set some new goals for myself:
1. Ketsugu Ryu Jujitsu black belt. I've had this one in the works for a while now, but the date of my test has been set. Friday, June 28. I feel I have much studying to do for this test, but much of it will be done on my own or with my testing partner. Not much class time, so I need to really focus!
2. 10k June 1. I've run several 5ks and 3 half marathons, but this will be my first official race at that distance. My hubby is running it too, and it should be a fun experience. The best part is it is in my neighborhood and I run the official route regularly for my training runs!
3. Stick to whole foods - enough with the processed junk! I know I feel better when I eat this way, I just need to be more consistent. Actually, I just need to be more insistent! No giving in to what my family is having just because it is easier! I CAN make my own choices and not give in to make others feel better!
That's it. A simple plan for the next few months. I'm not going to worry about the scale, although I will be weighing myself regularly. In the past, my best results have come when I've not obsessed about numbers, so I'm going with what works.
The MayPAC challenge I am doing right now with my San Antonio team is helping to remind me that consistency is the key.
