Today I venture out to do the PEP program. This is the program my doctor suggested that I do to help get me back on track for soccer in 58 days (but who is counting?). It is a physical training program that focuses on strengthening the knee and injury prevention.
It seems really simple, but having to do it on my own is boring. I will do what I gotta do :)
I am planning a 'Pick up Party' for my comeback. What does this mean??? No, it is not where you go to pick people up, although that sounds fun too (if I wasn't married of course). No, this just means I want to plan an easy pick up game of soccer with my soccer peeps. Low key, fun and follow with a beer or two as a celebration! I think this will be a good way to play soccer (with my docs blessing of course) to 'see' how I do the first few games. If I just jump into the season, I know me, I won't go easy. So a 'pick up party' it is.
Can't wait, I am so friggin giddy, it's ridiculous! Well, off I go to do my PEP :)
