Mother's day was lovely.
It was a great day to fellowship and worship with my Christian family, and on our way home, my husband was sorry he had to go sleep and not spend time with me. He asked what we could do, as we couldn't go out for lunch or dinner. I said "How about a "Sundae" lunch?" Yes. I know. Off the diet and all that, but since I wasn't planning on eating a dinner, it would be my lunch.
We went to a neat little local dairy that features homemade ice cream. We had banana splits. Yes. I counted all my calories. I had a salad for supper. The pistachio ice cream featured real pistachios, not little nut pieces. So there was all that homemade natural ice cream without preservatives, and fresh fruit. Ok, so it was not typical. But It was a lot better than going out to dinner AND having ice cream. It is suggested, that if we choose to have dessert one day per week, we should make it homemade, and worth it. It was a good choice. (I left about half my whipped cream behind.)
There are two here, one is my hubby's.
He went to sleep when we got home, and I made plans to pick up both my sons and go to a local state forest to walk a level trail that we haven't been on. So my older son and his wife, and my younger son walked the half a mile round trip trail in sunshine. I brought my cameras and took pictures, and enjoyed the fact that they are now getting along after about 8 years of animosity towards each other. That in itself was worth the day. No drama.
Afterward, I wanted to find a local farm stand. I picked up strawberries, rhubarb, asparagus, and locally raised beef and local honey. That was for supper with my dh last night.
Then, a little more walking at the local discount store to get a new keyboard for my computer that does not have a stuck "y"
It truly was a perfect day. Shh, It may be the best one since my boys have grown up.

My Mother's Day gift - time with my sons without drama.
As for today, my workweek began. I got stuck in traffic, but not for long. I had homemade gluten free/egg free bread my husband baked with peanut butter - one slice - for breakfast with my coffee. Very filling. I took a second with peanut butter to have for lunch, but saved it for my afternoon snack instead. Lunchtime, I ordered a salad, and it was really good, and fresh with romaine lettuce, shredded red cabbage, fresh tomatoes and fresh cucumbers, and homemade balsamic vinegar and oil dressing. I added pieces of a clementine to the salad and it was great. Supper - salad and dressing, gluten free rice pasta spaghetti, sauce with ground turkey, fresh grated Parmesan, glass of milk, and will have a few strawberries later.
All in all. doing good. This morning - Danced for three minutes (one song), and did 10 minutes of physical therapy exercise and weights, and walked at work. I also got my pedometer to work - rather I figured it out.
