I start juicing tomorrow morning, and I must say that I'm pretty excited! I got my juicer out, all the produce washed and ready to go, put into the big container. I have my bottles set out to hold my juice for the day. I even have my cutting board and knife right on the counter, so all I have to do in the morning is get started.
I'm also a bit nervous. Any time I start "over again" with doing something, there's always a little bit of nervous emotion that goes along with it. Also, I know that the first few days of juicing are tough, because your body is detoxing. Plus, you're also really having some strong cravings. I've never been able to make it more than a few days, but I am DETERMINED to be strong and go the full ten days this time. That will take me all the way until the very last day of school. At that point, I will see how I feel and decide if I want to keep juicing, or if I want to go ahead and start the plant-based diet. Either way, I'm making a change for the GOOD, and I refuse to be anything but proud of that.
Here's what I'll have tomorrow. It's called "Mean Green."
Mean Green Juice
~ 1 bunch kale
~ 4 celery stalks
~ 2 granny smith apples
~ 1 cucumber
~ 1/2 lemon, peeled
~ 1 piece of ginger root, about an inch long
That is the recipe for one individual juice. It makes a LOT. I can't remember exactly how many ounces it is, but it's a LOT of juice. Then on Thursday, I'm going to make the same thing, but put in a little less kale and a little spinach instead, as well as a little pineapple. I tried the "Green Machine" juice once from the brand called Naked, and it was DELICIOUS. They had some pineapple in there and that's what the juice tasted like. It's loaded with all kinds of veggies, some fruits, and I'm telling you, it was absolutely delicious. If someone blindfolded you, you'd think you were drinking a thick pineapple juice. Mmmmm.
Another thing that I've never really done like I should, as far as juicing, is really have fun and experiment with different fruits and veggies, different combinations, etc. I've already thought about making a spinach, apple, carrot, and pineapple juice. I have lots of different juices pinned on Pinterest as well, and there's a great website rabbitfoodformybunnyteet
, and she does a juice fast and blogs about it. She includes recipes for the different juices that she tries. (PS. I think this girl is adorable! and also very motivating!)

So, that's about it for me, for today anyway. I'm getting back to work tomorrow, back into the gym, and taking a step in the right direction for my health and well-being...literally and figuratively. I also really need to get back into reading my therapy books, so I can move forward with my emotional health. Maybe I'll shut this bad boy down and do a session right now :)
