Filling food

The times I get hungry, I remember how I used to search the shelves for a bag of chips. Of coz they gave me the crunch and filled me up, only to throw me back at the shelves in minutes. Hence I was experimenting with food and I've discovered some food that take that hunger away instantly and keep me full for a longer time that a bag of chips.

These are my "filling foods"

Peanut butter on a 25 calorie tortilla
2 eggs
Steamed fish
Steamed chicken
grilled meat
Greek yoghurt (mixed with a little sugar syrup)
All Bran cereal
Chocolate flavoured milk

I am still experimenting what keeps me full and so far, these are the food that work for me. :)

    Sorry to be impertinent, but I was looking for low calorie tortillas the other day in the supermarket and didn't see anything close to 25 calories per.

    What are the little (I presume) devils called at 25 calories a pop?

    yes, protein is the key!
    I find that if I'm "starving" and I eat some protein and fruit, I'm good to go for hours again.

    I eat a lot of those when I have a snack attack favourites are the hard boiled eggs and almonds (or walknuts, pistachios or brazil nuts. i love me some nuts!).

    Another snack I have is tuna and avocado. I just mush the avocado into the tuna and you don't even need to add mayo or anything because the avocado is so creamy. I sometimes eat that with an egg, or just by itself cos it's so yummy. I've also just started having yoghurt with blueberries, flaxseed and grated unsweetened coconut. Ahh it's amazing. It feels like a dessert or treat, when really it's very low carbs and calories.

    I like you idea of keeping a list of filling foods that you can turn to to help beat the hungries!

    It is a good idea to know what what items will fill you up and provide nutreints.
