I have a fellow teacher that has survived two times and went through reconstructive surgery this year. I prayed that she would get better and remain healthy . I have a daughter that continues to have cysts but no diagnosis of cancer. I am a firm believer of doing your own exams and see a professional if you notice anything different.

Thanks for stopping by to encourage me in my blog. emoticon

I am a breast cancer survivor BECAUSE I went in for my mammogram. Both a dear friend and a family member were diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004 and the spring of 2005. I had been skipping my Mammograms because I just didn't like them and figured I didn't have time. Common sense finally prevailed and I went in for a "Mammy" in August of 2005. I had to go back for a biopsy and sure enough I was diagnosed with breast cancer!

They caught it in an early stage, but recommended both a Mastectomy and aggressive Chemothherapy. Well , 7 years later I am healthy, cancer free, reconstructed and engaged to marry the most wonderful friend and partner!

Please, whatever else you do - go in for your Mammogram , and while you're at it add a Colonoscopy if you are 50 years and up.

Stay Healthy- it's a wonderful gift to yourself! emoticon
