Day 3; pound lost: 1 (goal: 12 in 60 days)
The scale didn't show loss this morning but it's ok, it's hard to get loss two days in a row.
All in all, the day was good. I walked for 50 min and did zumba for 12 min (after months of not doing it) so I'm pleased with myself - baby steps. I posted hour commitments and sticked to them. I ate moderately and added a lettuce salad to my dinner.
I wanted to share my visual motivation tool. It's actually an old idea presented differently. I made my own weight loss ticker and put it on the pinboard next to my work desk in the living room. It shows 12 pounds I want to lose in a 2-month-time. As a ticker I chose a heart to remind me of my health and my family - the reason why I need to lose those pounds. For every pound lost, I will add a drawing of a 1lb of fat in a hand to represent what I actually lost.

It's a work in progress. It motivates to move my body and it gives me something to do with my hands so that I forget about food.
