5/14/13 Going at it again

Tuesday, May 14, 2013

I have been absent for a while.... shame on me!! A quick catch up of events. I was in the play A Flea in Her Ear.... during which I gained some weight and really felt it in my right knee. Also was so very very fatigued. The play was a success though and the cast was happy with our performances.

Finally got myself to the doctor and there were 2 results A. My vitamin D level was so extremely low! It was low enough I thought my thyroid was out of whack - but it fine, now supplement with extra Vitamin D and make sure I am outside at least 15 minutes a day!! B. My right knee has very thin meniscus cartilage and when it bothers me I favor that knee making the left one hurt too. Right now I am being referred to another doctor and we will see if I am a candidate for gel injections for my knee.

My 25th anniversary was in March!! We didnt do much to celebrate it then but we are going on an anniversary cruise in June. There will be 3 couples one with 35th anniversary, one with 30th anniversary and us with 25!! So I dont know what got in to me but I tried on my wedding dress -- IT STILL FITS!! It is a more filled in around the waist but the rest is perfect..... sooooo

I am having my wedding dress remade/updated!! Changing the length, neckline and sleeves. After I get it back I will decide whether to dye it. It was cream colored so may leave it but have always been fond of a rose or lavender color too..... I need to get a new belt as the old one is too snug. (No way am I getting down to wedding day weight - I was VERY thin)

So I am back to my spark buddies - back to tracking. I have been exercising more and I am going to lose at least 4 pounds before the cruise.

Thanks in advance for all the help and encouragement!! Looking forward to the daily tracking of food and fun.
