I am stuck in a Rut

I really have to get back to a consistent workout plan. These last few weeks, have been horrible on my consistency. the month of march I worked out each day with the jillian micheals video. We were going to do another video as a group in APril, but with spring break and a surgical procedure on my leg, I got out o f the 5:00 am habit from march and I have not been able to get back in the swing of things.

I am felling very pity partish (I know that is not a word) but I was doing so well in march, and I can't get back there. this journey is mentally difficult. I am not feel very confident in my success today.

    You did it before, you can do it again...take baby steps until you get back to where you were kind to yourself...after leg surgery you have to make sure you are fully recovered and rest is part of that!!! emoticon

    Long term change happens one small step at a time.

The ability to follow a routine requires more than just self-discipline and determination. It requires the establishment of habits. We need to get into the habit of waking up at a certain time, following through with our morning routine, leaving the kitchen clean after each meal, and completing our most important tasks for the day before we move on to others, before we can expect our desired routine to become a reality.

Habits are not acquired simply because we decide that they're good and valuable and we want them to have a place in our lives. Habits require time, effort, purposefulness and persistence in order to become consistent.

    You can do it. I know it's hard to get back on the 5 am schedule. Last week my running days were out of order and it really mixed me up. Go for a good workout to tire yourself out and go to bed early and get up at 5 am tomorrow. I'll do it too and we'll both get back on track :)

    I am in a physical set back as well. Not sure how it is going to resolve and when. I am not a natural workout guy but I was doing pretty good till this setback.

Hope to get back on track again.
