Be Sure To Stretch After Your Workout!

I made a terrible mistake on Saturday and I'd like all my friends to learn from it.
I have a stepper in my living room and one of my favorite workouts is step-ups, vigorous step-ups! I have reached a point where I can do step-ups for an hour while I watch TV, it's my best way to watch shows that I love.
Because I have been enjoying the Spartacus workouts so much, I took a long break from the stepper, almost two months. So on Saturday morning, because I woke up feeling very energetic, I decided to do some step-ups after my Spartacus workout. The mistake I made is that I did not stretch after my workout. Boy have I paid dearly for that mistake! My calf muscles have been sore since Sunday. The pain is so bad that walking is not very comfortable. I have tried deep heat but it isn't helping much. I can actually feel the tightness in the muscle. Of course I have been trying to stretch the muscles since Sunday but I guess it's a case of too little too late. And now it is quite painful to stretch.
Dear friends, please learn from me. STRETCH AFTER YOUR WORKOUTS, when your muscles are still warm!
