Monday mostly traveling

Monday, May 13, 2013

We got packed early this morning to come home from Austin as we had to travel to Tyler first to check in with Mom's doctor. DH greeted us with loads of good news from his weekend at home.

He actually fixed the electric fence where we can turn it off without getting shocked. I feel as if I have been robbed of a thrill. He also fixed the antique slot machine so Mom can play with it. He also fixed the very expensive professional smoothie blender I bought non working at a garage sale just since I got home. I am so blessed to have a husband that fixes things as I am a wife that breaks things or buys things broken because I know he can fix it. So I fixed him his favorite dinner - bacon and eggs and homemade biscuits. (He just loves yogurt biscuits.)

My protein has been lacking this weekend and I can feel it. So I did a packaged protein shake just now. I might try them more often.

2 Chronicles 15:7 But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.

God bless us with strength and perseverance

I always said if I was going to put a singles ad or online dating profile I'd name it "Ms. Break-It Looking for Mr. Fix-It" LOL

What a treasure having someone who is that handy. My father is the same way, nothing he cannot fix. Well, at least when he was younger.

You are lucky to have a DH that can fix things. I hope the visit with the DR. for your mom goes well

I sure did want to give up today on everthing! I am not kidding. I have many responsibilities with my family, mainly the kids, my mom, my grandma and her house. Sometimes I just get so overwhlemed with it all! And trying to lose weight is the straw that breaks the camels back, but I will not be able care for them if I let my diabetes go haywire. Sorry to rant, it just seemed like a good time for me.

Good thing you have a handy dandy husband!!
