My favorite memory of my Mommy

Monday, May 13, 2013

Moms Day is a little difficult for me now-- as my mother is not well. She is still the best mother a girl could ever hope for.
I was working the swing shift at a casino and I didn't have a car. I actually was living with my mom at the time. We split all the bills and it worked out beautifully. Anyway, the shuttle would drive right by my house and drop us at the center half a mile away so I would have to walk back all that way. And I wouldn't get home until around midnight. I was so surprised to see this person walking towards me this late at night and here I looked up again I said to myself, "that looks like... it IS mom!!" Man, I was so happy, she said she was waiting for the bus to go by then she started walking to meet me halfway. Man was I ever glad to see her, it was a bad neighborhood. She was always so protective of me. There are a ton of fond memories, this one stands out in my mind lately. Wish I could run into her like that again! Happy Mothers Day, Ma! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
Love you forever... emoticon
