My magical green smoothies...

So, I started working for Vitamix back in December... It's just part-time, contract work, working from home as a Recruiter. But it couldn't have been a better fit for me... I am totally into health and wellness since I've started on my journey of weight loss over a year ago... And I've been talking with people for 6 months now about their amazingly wonderful blender...

So I finally broke down and bought one. I got it on QVC, so I could do the flex-pay option and I've had it for over a month now. And I have used it every single day since I got it, sometimes up to 4 times a day... It's probably been one of the best investments I've made in my health EVER!

My green smoothies are definitely helping me out with my workouts... A little while back I was having a hard time pushing myself, so I figured I'm eating great, I don't feel bad, let's see how if I can get a little bit further in my goals of gaining some muscle... But since I've been drinking these I really don't have as much fatigue or muscle soreness that I think I should have... They are amazing! They help my body to perform better and accomplish more. I can't say enough great things about them!

trition, by Victoria Boutenko or even Super Immunity by Dr. Furhman does a good explanation on greens needed in our life!

Today I had spinach, kale, half a banana, some grapes, and some frozen peaches together in my smoothie... I didn't even get to finish it because my daughter tried it and never gave it back! So I'm excited to be working towards my goals, with the help of simple green smoothies!

    Hi!!! I have a few recipes that are all pretty simple but I tend to stay to a similar taste profile with all of them... My basics are:

    -1 cup of water
    -2 handfuls greens - I like Spinach, Kale, or Romaine (Spinach is best if you are new to green smoothies)
    -1/2 a banana (to make it creamy)
    -1 whole apple, quartered, seeds still in it
    -Slice of fresh pineapple if I have it, with the center still in it!


    -1 cup of water
    -2 handfuls of greens
    -1/2 a banana
    -1 cup of green grapes
    -Slice of fresh pineapple (but it tastes fine without it too!)

    OR I'll add some frozen peaches or frozen strawberries and remove another fruit!

    But they really do help my muscles... I have done P90x for 2 weeks now, and while I'm a little bit sore, I don't think it's bad at all! Where a couple of months ago I couldn't even complete one video!

    I think the "less sore muscles" is a good enough reason to give them a try. I never really liked the idea of green smoothies but maybe I'll change my mind if I give it a try. Any good, simple recipes to start with?

    Hi! Yes, I love my Vitamix and will probably never go another day without it!

    I shopped based on price, so I have the Creations II, with the 48 ounce container so it would fit under my cabinets... I didn't get anything with the dry container since I wouldn't use it. My goal was to make smoothies, soups, ice creams, and possibly some salsas, so this is a good option!

    Also, if you seek it out as a Today's Special Value, usually on a weekend, you can sometimes get the flex pay option for up to 4 or 5 months...

    I have vitamix for over 20 years. This is my second. I traded the first one back. When this breaks down, I will be getting another one. They are expensive but worth every penny!

    I have been thinking about a vitamix for a while now, I am glad to see a flex pay program for it. which model emoticon do you have?
