Day 16 Blog 5-13-13

Hey Spark Buddies,

Iím on a STREAK. That word is foreign to my vocabulary. But none the less, Iím on a streak. I walked a mile 2 days, worked in the yard for hours over the weekend, and heading back to the trail for another mile today. That will make a 5 day streak. Who knew???

I read Bobís article with Oprah today on Yahoo. For those on a plateau he suggests a treadmill b/c you can increase the time you walk and the incline. He says itís all about letting your organs catch up with where your weight loss is and then it will be ready for the new challenge.

He also said we are to let ourselves FEEL hungry. When we get the hungry feeling itís our body saying Iím ready to eat the fat. If we feed it, then it eats the new food. If we get busy.distracted with something else instead, the body will eat the fat. Iím paraphrasing, of course.

Bob told Oprah how you lose weight is you do x, y, and z and the weight will come off. Then you have to keep ramping it up. And you have to be consistent, make the commitment and keep it.

    Good for you on your Streak. I am going to really try to do an exercise streak and get in some form of exercise daily. I have to get this weight off so I guess I need to get on the treadmill and ramp up the sleep and incline!
